You'll be responsible for completing assignments in the assembly, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of Mining Equipment, metal parts, tools, models, and equipment that require a high degree of accuracy and precision. Work may also involve limited design responsibilities. Although work falls principally in the machinist's trade, the employee is expected to employ some skills of the Millwright trade.
Key Accountabilities:

Diagnose and repair machine failures. Install replacement parts (which you'll often fabricate yourself)

Provide mechanical assistance to Millwrights working in the rebuild shop

Identify recurring problems and document them so that an engineered solution can be provided

Maintain close contact with the Operations/Maintenance coordinators to insure that the jobs are prioritized correctly

Working in the shop and field where every required

Follow standard safety procedures, correct safety and environmental hazards and report them

Order parts for site mobile equipment using the company’s PO request system

Record and monitor parts that are on order, expected delivery and arrival on site dates

Coordinate with the site maintenance mechanic for required parts and what needs to be ordered for preventive and repair maintenance

Responsible for parts inventory and ensure parts inventory are at required levels

Request quotes from parts vendors and evaluate and recommendations on where to purchase parts considering economics, quality of parts, and expected timeline

Coordinate with vendors and arrange pick up of parts as needed

Follow up on parts order and do necessary coordination to ensure timely delivery of parts to site

As a Fuel and Lube technician you will be responsible for the lubrication service and maintenance of a variety of equipment including, Excavators, Dozers, Rock Trucks, Heavy Haulers, Graders, Scrapers and Loaders

Diagnosing & completing preventive maintenance on all company equipment

Greasing booms, pulleys, buckets, and other components of heavy equipment

Lubricating running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment

Performing work effectively and safely in shops or outdoor construction site environments

Ensuring service trucks are kept clean, organized, and always maintained properly and ready for use
